Have you ever thought of creating the community you live in? That’s a dream for many of us and exactly what we’re doing at Valverde Commons, a co-housing community in beautiful Taos, New Mexico. Valverde Commons is for active adults who want both the freedom and privacy of our their homes and the feel of an old-fashioned neighborhood. It is sustainable: we want to live lightly on the earth, using resources wisely and protecting green spaces for walking, gardening, biking and soaking up our breathtaking view of Taos Mountain. Our community is adjacent to theTaos Historic district, an easy walk to the Plaza, the library, stores, art galleries and restaurants. It is a short drive to the University of New Mexico Taos, and all the recreational marvels that help to make our lives so rich: Taos Ski Valley, the Rio Grande, and the glorious natural wonderland that is northern New Mexico.
